From the Preface: "The investigation and studies on fungal diversities found in Nepalese phytogeographic belts have been adding tremendous amount of knowledge on floral wealth of the country. This work has been based on the laboratory works and available literature listed as bibliography in the last pages of the book. It provides the list of fungi reported from Lalitpur district only with a hope to know the prevailing fungi around the area, which will assist in carrying out further researches on taxonomic and pathological works. The planners and environmentalist will have significant ideas towards the approach on conservation and sustainable utilization of natural and agro-based plant resources prevailing in this region."
