From the Foreword: "This publication, the "National Register of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants", a revised and updated version of the previous version published in 2000, has a total of 187 species of plants with greater information on Nepal\'s medicinal plants and their photographs as well. The inclusion of additional species has not only enriched the document but also points the way to more comprehensive documentation that is needed for securing national sovereignty over the biological resources of the country."
