The organic farming is mainly aimed at supplementary and complementary approach to the existing production systems specially focused on niche crops and areas (5 to 10%) having low input use systems. Agro climatically India represents 15 major agro-climatic zones and 127 NARP zones. But the technologies for pursuing the organic production are scattered and not available at one place. Therefore, an attempt was made by the editors to synthesize the all available technologies and strategies with special reference to 15 agro-climatic zones of the country.
