This manual is written with an objective to provide brief, complete and easily understandable various aspects of Biochemistry for Pharmacy students. Scheme for the identification of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and biologically important compounds is given so that students can themselves perform experiments by following the said procedures. The chapter on the preparation of various types of solutions, buffer, standard curve and the terms which are used frequently in the biochemical work, have been explained with suitable examples and in a very simple, easily understandable manner. The chapter on immobilization of enzyme is illustrated in a very simple way and the students can get aware with the immobilization techniques by performing very simple exercises. For quantitative analysis in every experiment, complete procedure in tabular form and also calculations have been mentioned so that students can prepare standard curve themselves without any problem. The space has also been provided to record the readings and other data. At the end of the manual as well as in each chapter, important points are highlighted separately.
