Practical Manual of Biotechnology
The manual is written with an objective to provide various aspects of practical biotechnology in brief, complete and easily understandable manner for undergraduate postgraduate, research scholars of Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy and other branches of Applied Sciences.
Section 1 gives an idea about the precautions to be taken while working in the laboratory and about the instrument. The chapters on the preparation of various types of solutions, buffer, standard curve and the terms which are used frequently in the Biotechnological work, have been explained with suitable examples. Section 2 is written in a student’s friendly language and explained with the help of suitable diagrams. Section 3 gives an exposure on some aspects of Biotechnology such as BOD, COD, Do, thin layer and paper chromatography, plant issue culture, ELISA techniques etc. In section 4 for Quantitative analysis, complete procedure in tabular form and also calculations have been mentioned so that students can prepare standard curve. In section 5 clinical experiments are given which would be beneficial for the students during their training course.
