The Mahabharata Story is an enchanting retelling in English of the great Indian epic by S. Sitaramayya. First published in 1943, the book has never been reprinted until this edition. Published in 2021, this edition has a new introduction by Suresh Balakrishnan.

Sitaramayya's narration is neither too concise nor too elaborate and he has thoughtfully separated out the many subsidiary stories and given them in a separate section after the end of the main story.
