"This book is a travelogue of a common man who relates his life story with a story of his nation, Nepal. It is an attempt to look how humans lead their lives. The Dilemmas, vales, and worldviews they live with. How they are involved in the creation, construction and destruction of their own society and nation.

At age thirty two, author relates his life with the life of his nation. How have both them grown? The author has viewed the political development of Nepal through the eyes of his father, who had been an activist in the Nepalese democratic political struggle for more than thirty years.

The book talks about author\'s perceptions about his country, society and people. At times it is merely a report, and at times memoir and in some other cases an analysis. An attempt has been made to explore questions like-why is something happening the way it is? How is author himself involved in the important events and the growth processes? What are his responsibilities as a citizen of a nation and world? What is the significance of an ordinary life that is influenced, indoctrinated and overwhelmed by the events and forces that were neither conceived nor executed by it? What role can men play to grasp the meaning of his/her own life? As an inquisitive member of a nation and a planet, the author has raised numerous questions and has tried answering them. The book is also an inward journey of an author.

The book has been divided into three chapters. The first chapter, thirty two years of life has depicted the growth of an author along with the growth of his nation. The important events that have taken place since 1977 in Nepal have been reported and analysis made on those events.

The second chapter, imprisoned consciousness captures the recent events in Nepal and investigation has been made on the repercussions of those events. This chapter describes the Maoists rise in power and abuse of the same.

The third chapter, new context: moment of choice has focused on new ideas that have proliferated in the field of politics, society, economy, religion, science at the international context. It discusses how these international changes have impacted Nepal. The chapter is also a wake up call to all Nepalese.
