A Shadow in Eternity

Despite all the evidence to the contrary, Maya Subramaniam is no ordinary kid. Her main problems in life Hindi homework, her irritating older brother, being bullied at school pale in to insignificance when she is whisked out of the known world to a parallel universe called Eternity.

Summoned by her Watcher, an enigmatic older man called Noah Jarryd, Maya is called upon to face the biggest challenge of her or anyone else’s life. The fate of both worlds hangs in the balance, as Maya and Noah, along with their companions, Lev and Chiyo, race to solve a mysterious prophecy and ensure that the Sands of Time do not run out.

A desi-mix of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Princess Leia, Maya is truly a child of her time. On the cusp of childhood and adolescence, she discovers powers she never knew she had, perils she never wanted to face, and the true meaning of friendship.
