Mental retardation has been a serious problem with human beings. This hampers the overall growth of person and personality. To cope with this problem various psychological techniques are adopted.
In the main body of the present work, the author make an in-depth analysis of adaptive behaviour of each child by working out the social age (SA), social quotient (SQ), and the correlation and difference between certain variables. In fact, social quotient as determined by social age is very important particularly for mentally retarded children so that we could take up the appropriate measures for their proper growth and development.
