"Ageing is a natural process. It is part and parcel of every human being. It is a natural phenomenon which affects each society, however, its magnitude and manifestation are not the same everywhere.

In order to address this issue, ICSSR North Eastern Regional Centre organised a two-day National Seminar at Shillong and this book contains the outcome of the seminar.

The vital information, contributed by scholars of repute on ageism herein is organised under the three main themes:
