Amphibians of West Bengal

This book documents all the 49 species of amphibians from the State of West Bengal which includes 5 species of toads. 42 species of frogs. 1 species of salamander and 1 species of caecilian so far known from the State. Their common and local names, distinguishing features, colour, habits, habitat, food, call, breeding behavior, life history and distribution are given for each species. This is the first comprehensive book on the amphibians of the State in which all species are illustrated with colour photographs.
