Animal Health is of the utmost importance to farmers, traders and even people in general, because proper animal care leads to the production of high quality yields.

Animal Health provides the framework for managing and coordinating the activities and resources, required to affect the rapid containment of any reportable and/or communicable disease that poses a significant threat to health and welfare of animals and humans.

Concern and consideration in Animal Health and production is largely focused on issues that enable smallholding farmers to refine their livestock management towards production and income-generation. These issues include aspects of the market, such as prices; seasonal trends; product quality and market approach to reduce the risks, involved in moving for country-species-disease combinations and other livestock-husbandry technologies.

There are few books on this subject, which deal with Animal Health and Welfare in one way or the other. The present book is being presented to fulfill all characteristics in Animal Health and is suitable for farmers, scientists and extension workers in this field.
