Archaeological Sites of South Panchala: Data from Archaeological and Literary Sources

"This work analyses all information available in archaeological literature, however brief, scanty or incomplete, to gain insights into the location and nature of important sites in South Pancala region. It presents more than 700 file cards containing varied data that cover all archaeologically significant aspects of the territory, recording situations and changes over a long period of time. Prepared per district (seven in present Uttar Pradesh State are considered) and in alphabetical order, it gives information regarding localization, type of site, chronology and period, culture, and description along with literary and other references that provide the information."
