"A scholar may face many difficulties in the identification of medicinal plant and their useful parts. The books available in the market has only written description about that plant. It is very difficult to understand exactly their own specific feature and correct identification methodology. The visual aid is more effective than text.

Museum is the best place to complete this requirement but in India many Ayurvedic Medical College has no standard museum. So they fail to give complete information to the scholars. Even in the museum once seen specimen may be forgotten after some time.

As English is fast becoming and internationally rather globally accepted medium of communication. Author have tried to explain each term of Ayurveda in English script. This atlas has rich collection of photographs of medicinal plant and their useful parts covering all aspects. It has more than 2,500 coloured photographs in three volumes with important informations for preparation of practical examination." (jacket)
