Bhutan Birds
Through the optics of his camera Mr. Yeshey Doriji practiced his passion, caught images of live birds in their natural habitats, and stacked into pages of this splendidly put together book, the first of ‘Bhutan Birds’ series. It is a befitting memoir, dedicated to the 4th Druk Gyalpo Jigme Singye Wangchuck, who embraced and stewarded conservation of environment and biodiversity for all future generations of Bhutan. It is also an enchanting manual for many who love and appreciate birds, culture and people. Anybody who uses this book will be offered a preliminary introduction to birds found in 12 of Bhutan’s 20 Dzongkhags. It is a wonderful book that combines natural history and photographs of some of the most beautiful birds found in the country. (jacket)
