From the preface: The book is designed for those who are eager to have the guidance and instructions for growing their own bonsai. Even those who purchase bonsai or semi-bonsai from the bonsai nursery invariably need the guidance for rearing their subjects. To make the text attractive and interpretative as many as 150 figures have been included in the text. All the line drawings have been drawn by the author himself. An acknowledgement expressing gratitude to the persons concerned is included. They have assisted in providing photographs and transparencies for illustration.
