Parimal K Brahma (IAAS: 1966)hada distinguished careeras Civil Servant spanning over forty years having worked in seven Ministries of the Government of India and in seniorpositions of the CAG’s Organization.Brahma retired as Deputy CAG of India (equivalent to Secretary) and after retirement, worked as the Banking Ombudsman of the Reserve Bank for the Gujarat Region. As Accountant General, Chairman, Audit Board, Deputy CAG of India and Leader of United Nation’s Audit Team, he had unprecedented access to knowledge and information about the functioning of the Central Government, the State Governments, the Central Public Sector Enterprises and the United nations.
For the last ten years, Brahma has been working as Adjunct Professor teaching Corporate Governance and Business Ethics in various Business Schools in India.Brahma has kept his deep interest in music, poetry and writing. Among his publications are a book of poems in Bengali, On the Corridors of Power: the Theatre of the Absurd and The Paradise Birds of Mansarovar and Other Stories.
Brahma has one son and two grandchildren who live in the US.He and his wife Nandita live in New Delhi.
