Kumb-known as the largest conglomeration of devotees on earth, saw a happy gathering of devotees from across countries this year.  The city of Allahabad came alive with noise, cheers and chants of Sadhus, Sanyasis, and thousands of pilgrims, who travelled from across the globe to be a part of this grand event.

With over 11 crore people having participated in this grand spiritual conglomeration that ran from January 14, the day of Makar Sankranti, to March 10, the day of the Maha Shivratri, it saw various colours of spirituality, faith and religion. The UP Government on its part made all efforts to put up the best show and take full care of the stay and security of the millions of people who became a part of this event.

And it is to encapsulate the smallest details of this grand event—the Kumbh’13, the Government of Uttar Pradesh and the The Times of India together, come up with this coffee table book- Confluence of Faith. The book is a Saga of the legions of myths associated, the significance of the Shahi Snans, the history, origin and the strange tales of the Nagas and Akhadas, enriching stories of people, the celebs who made it, and a lot more, that’s sure to keep you glued from the start to the end.
