Scientists believe that it came into existence about 10 billion years ago and is still expanding. There are strange and surprising features of the universe which we try to understand through modern science. The author skillfully takes the readers through a cosmic journey of discovery starting with the theories about creation of universe. Some description of Black Holes and the system of constellations have been touched. Solar system consisting of nine planets, Asteroids, Comets, Meteoroids, and also the Satellites including eclipses, their cause and occurrence is described with a view to familiarize the reader with the full background of such phenomena. Topics of Carbonaceous matter, life in the universe, occurrence of UFO and SETI are also explained along with some relevant details of the molecular biology.

A separate section of the book touches human consciousness which describes pre-historic thought and all the major religions of the world.
