Violence has reached the saturation point from where there is no coming back nor it can proceed further. It seems the human civilization has unhesitatingly accepted the emphasis of violence in solving the various problems of the world. The modern civilization has gone to the extent of declaring that it is the only instrument to set right the wrongs of the society. But it fails to think that violence is heading towards the extinction of human race. We forget that causing injury to body and mind is nothing but a crime. The saints of the world have condemned the cruelty done to any living being including human being. There are great men like Mahatma Gandhi Martin Luther King Aung San Suu Kyi who have shown to the world that the power of non violence is impregnable. If applied with devotion it can shake the citadel of the evil doer and bring him back to the fold of right path.
It is high time that violence has to be discarded from all facets of human mind. Our vision of the mind should be widen with patience and tolerance to get a glimpse of genuine non violence. When we start applying non violence. When we start applying non violence to our mind and body we will certainly experience its fulfillment. To save mankind from impending collapse application of non violence in thought and action is imperative now. The book Crusaders of non violence is an eye opener in practicing preserving and upholding non violence in our society. (jacket)
