Culture, Science and Violence : The Quranic Approach

This book offers a collection of papers rnostly presented in the seminars attended by the august gatherings from varying faiths and schools of thought on the issues of culture, science and violence concentrating on the Quranic approach that calls the humanity to be moderate and balanced in all the thoughts and actions, as well as contributory to human civilization. The Holy Quran has been labelled by both the crusading Europe and Hindutva brigadiers as a "source of hatred, violence and fanaticism". Even the "enlightened" orient lists and the westernized Muslim intellectuals alike propagate a jihadist Quran that provokes terrorism and obscurantism quoting the holy verses selectively. This work academically responds to all these politically-motivated verslons and honestly elaborates the progressive, humane and ref ormatory teachings of the Quran in a convincing way.
