Dalit and Backward Women are the ‘have nots’ of our society. They deserve all attention and support from State, Community and Society. Earlier, they were neglected by upper castes and their own follows: For a long period, the social justice was based on class, religion, creed and caste, therefore, a proper and transparent justice was never possible. However, now, Dalit and Backward Women have a respectable position and they have also been given social protection by the Constitution. Present work is not a huge volume on them but, it is a compact study in order to provide a brief but perfect account of their condition, their lot, their future and so on.(jacket)
