Delimitation of Channel Migration Zones in Ganga Sub Basin

The Present work is a regional study on assessment of alluvial channel migration in the Ganga Plains. The study monitored channel configuration on river Rapti over a period of 90 years and documented its impact on public infrastructure, mainly road, rail network, bridges, telephone lines and land use patterns in general and patterns of flood hazards in particular.
