From the Preface: "In earlier times Press was mainly oriented in keeping people informed of government's policies and also the government informed of public requirements. The history of the Indian Press starts with the coming of the Europeans. The Portuguese were the first European to bring a printing press to India and the first book in India published in India was by the Jesuits of Goa in 1557.
In this book the specialities and special methodology of the journalism are discussed. Considerably this book will be very helpful for the readers."
