"Banking industry in India has gone underwent radical changes. The banking Secher reforms in India, forced banks to upgrade and update their banking systems and practices. Earlier Indian banks were hermetically sealed from international banking practices and environment. Long queues, Betel-chewing Babus and dirty ledgers and account books were the usual sights in every \'Indian banks\' branches in \'70 and \'80s. Modernization, IT revolution and globalization has compelled all the financial institutions and especially the banks in India to follow internationally accepted banking and financial management norms and practices.
In the modern IT-propelled world, all the functions and businesses are carried out with the help of computers and internet.
