Educational Psychology involves the study of how people learn, including topics such as student outcomes, the instructional process, individual differences in learning, gifted learners and learning disabilities. Educational psychology can in part be understood through its relationship with other disciplines. Educational psychology both draws from the contributes to cognitive science and the learning sciences. It seems too simple to say that educational psychology is the psychology of learning and teaching, and yet a majority of educational psychologists spend their time studying ways to describe and improve learning and teaching.
