"The success, survival of the banking sector not only depends upon the effective and efficient management of its physical resources but more importantly upon employee morale at job satisfaction. There are scores of studies established the fact that there is a close relationship between employee moral, job satisfaction and origination effectiveness. Realizing, this today all origination all experts have shifted their attention from the studies of isolated individuals and physical environment to the studies of motivation, morale and job satisfaction. High morale is evidenced by employee enthusiasm, voluntarily abide by the rules and regulations and willingness to co-operate with others which help in the accomplishment of organizational goals effectively. All these in a way, changed the functioning of economic system in general and the functioning of financial institutions like banks in particular. Against this background, an attempt in this book is made to compare employee morale and job satisfaction on selected dimensions in commercial banks of both public and private sectors.
