The Encyclopaedia of NGOs the work of its own kind. It has been published in view of the huge demand on the part of students, Professors and scholars pertaining to this sphare. It has been published in three volume. The roles of the Government vis-a-vis NGO demonstrate the failure of the Government officials as against the success of the NGO. The failure is mostly due to indifference corrupt practices lack of monitoring and evolution. A few important recommendations are offered for the benefit of all agencies interested in peoples co operation in development.
NGOs participation is a pre-request to any sustainable development in any walk of life in our modern democratic civilized world. In spite of the complexity of relation of NGO\'s with the Government they do complement and supplement developmental programmes. This encyclopaedia has three volumes including NGO\'s and development NGO\'s and the state and funding of NGO\'s : How to manage.
This work aims at compilation of the sources on the subjects of NGOs and development processes. Care has been exercise to select topics which conform to the course of the universities.
