Over the years the field of study of human and their behaviour has come to be known as psychology. Psychologists study the emotions and thoughts of humans in their everyday lives. This is not a new study, people have been observing other people for quite sometime. Over the years, certain celebrities have emerged in the area of psychology. These individuals have become what most people refer to as a famous psychologist.

Psychologists have documented their work and made it available to people from all around the globe. These are known as useful and helpful findings from which new psychologists are able to base their work on and give way to the next generation of psychologists.

There have been many famous psychologists who have left their mark both on psychology and on the world at large. The aim of this encyclopaedia is to give an introduction about the world\'s great psychologists through their past, both distant and more recent and their work. This will serve as a useful work to be used by students, researchers and academicians for advanced studies as a resource book. The book has been divided into two volumes in alphabetical order to ease the readers. (jacket)
