From the preface: "The book \'Essays on Development of Nepal\' makes an endeavor to probe into the intricacies of development of Nepal. Development is a phenomenon which cannot be dealt with in isolation. There are hosts of factors (both internal and external) which tends to direct its course. The book although envisages economic, social  and political aspects of development at length, it however tends to categorically partition  the book into four parts.

"Inspite of the fact that the book has envisioned few of the articles and documents which has already been printed and/or published (in part and /or whole), majority of the writings are being presented for the first time.
