"This book is about astrological compatibility in friendship, partnership, love and marriage. Astrology is a complex blend of scientific calculations and artistic predictions. It is based on the position of the sun and the relationship of the nine planets with the sun and the relationship of these planets to each other. The theory of astrology is based on the fact that the waxing and waning of the moon has an effect on the moods of human beings. The earth and the human body have approximately the same ratio of mass and water. If tides in the ocean can wax and wane with the size of the moon, then the human body, which is a minuscule compared to the earth, is bound to be affected to a far greater extent.
We may not be able to see with our own eyes the influences of the planets as we see in the case of the moon, but we can accept the view of astrologers that they exist. The astrologers carefully compute the position of all planets at the exact time of birth. The exact moment of birth becomes crucial because the twelve signs of the zodiac come over the horizon every day. A sign changes a degree every four minutes.
It is crucial to understand life’s triangles and affinities regarding zodiac signs. Astrologers believe that certain affinities exist between people having the same root number (date number reduced to a single digit). This book is an attempt by the author to explain such affinities between individuals. Astrology may not be able to replace reason, intellect and wisdom, but it can be an asset in areas where subjectivity is required.
