The present book is indepth study of the content and form of the later novels of William Golding, a distinguished figure in contemporary British fiction. In this study the author has concentrated on a close reading of the text and a threadbare analysis of their themes and characters and techniques, for a proper assessment of Golding\'s achievement. The form of everyone of the novels has been examined towards the close of each chapter. Her approach has been mainly textual and analytical.
