"This is the second edition of the volume, Faces and Places of Visva-Bharati, an album of selected photographs by the eminent photographer, Shambhu Shaha. In this volume, the photographs depict Rabindranath as the central figure in the various activities of Visva-Bharati and Santiniketan. There are also photographs of the poet\'s contemporaries who visited him. The landscape of Santiniketan has been preserved for posterity in his images. These photographs were processed digitally from the valuable collection of Shambhu Shaha\'s original negatives preserved at Rabindra-Bhavana." (jacket)
