In the wake of Globalization, educational institutions in India and the World at large are revisiting their ideals, vision, character, and functions to adapt themselves to the changing needs of the time. Innovations and creativity are applied swiftly in the field of teaching, research, and extension activities of higher education Institutions. Mushrooming growth of educational Institutions and disciplines and global competitions have compelled many of the traditional, ideal and even glorious institutions to accommodate many of the changing phenomena without compromising on its vision and principles. In India, there are quite a few educational Institutions which are founded on Gandhian values and principles and are devoted to the experimentation and promotion of Gandhian Philosophy. The main purpose of the Round Table Conference is to provide a platform for the leaders of the Gandhian Institutions and organization to interact, discuss and share the experiments and vision of their institutions and to evolve strategies and plans to explore the ways of collaboration and networking with other institutions. This exercise has been done in joining with likeminded Institutions and Individuals. (jacket)
