"The present book entitled "From Mental Illness to Mental Health" is an outcome of our commitment made to the family physicians during the mental health week Oct., 3-10-1999. The focus was on promoting mental health awareness among different strata of our society.
This book does not promise to be a comprehensive text book but aims to inform and provoke a dialogue among family physicians themselves and with Mental Health Professionals in hope that through this dialogue a series of activities would evolve wherein Mental Health Education of family physicians could be taken care of by themselves. The style of this book is conversational and does not boast of literacy accuracy of excellence. The purpose is plainly to highlight core issues in a manner easily understood and identified by family physicians." (jacket)
