Environmental Sciences is a multidisciplinary science guides in the way we should live in earth and helps to breathe the true essence of nature. It helps individuals to develop a better understanding of our living physical environment and how to resolve challenging environmental issues affecting nature. University Grants Commission (UGC) has made it mandatory for all the universities to introduce a course in environmental studies and teach students about the eco-system, pollution and problems concerned with the environment, in order to create awareness among today's generation on pressing environmental problems. All Universities are offering a common Undergraduate course on Environmental Studies for all the degree programmes under various disciplines viz., Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Sericulture, Food Nutrition and Dietetics, Agricultural Engineering and all other allied disciplines.
