The aim of guidance and counselling are multifarious as it deals with multifarious aspects of life. The techniques of guidance and counselling generally followed are individual, group and directive, non-directive, elective and there are different situations in relation to personal needs, problems, vocational choice and adjustments respectively.

The fundamentals of guidance and counselling are to acquaint everybody with the principles, plans, programmes, techniques, needs, utility of the programme of guidance and counselling in general and assets, liabilities limitations, psychological dispositions of each child in particular in relation to one’s goals of life.
