From the Foreword: "Nepal is rich in natural heritage. The natural heritage with unique biodiversity in this Himalayan Kingdom has been attracting the enthusiasm of several disciplines from abroad too. Among the biodiversity, floral diversity is a boon to this country. Plant diversity embracing interesting fungal diversity has also been contributing to the upliftment of economic condition of people.

This book will help people to know about the fungi prevailing in the region and serve as a basic reference for botanists to investigate on Nepalese Mycoflora. Moreover, it will provide guide lines to the planners for the overall development of the country."
