This book, “Garden plants of India: A guide to growing, maintenance and care”, is my humble contribution to bringing the marvels of garden plants closer to plant lovers. As I embarked on this journey, I aimed to create a resource that is both informative and visually enriching, covering 135 of the most popular garden plants found in India. Each plant profile includes essential details, from botanical characteristics to tips on growing, maintenance, and propagation. It also covers common problems faced in successful growth. Whether you are a seasoned gardener, a budding plant lover, or someone simply curious about the natural world, this book offers a pathway to explore the vibrant, varied, and sometimes challenging world of gardening. My goal has been to make the joy of gardening accessible. I have selected plants that thrive in the Indian climate, ensuring that every gardener, regardless of experience, can find species suited to their space and skill level. Each plant entry is accompanied by a colour photo, aiming to make identification easy and enjoyable. This project has been in my dream for about twenty years.
