"This book is the outcome of a research study carried out by WSDC, University of Delhi. The alarming decline in child sex ratio in the northern states of North India has generated a lot of concern among activists, development practitioners and academicians. The centre devised an empirical study to make an assessment of attituditional difference towards the girl child in today\'s society.
