Politically and culturally, the welfare of the people of the two countries is interlinked and developments in one country invariably have an impact on the other. Thus with Nepal, India needs to bring about a turnaround in the overall dysfunctional relationship and invest in long-term political linkages.
India remains steadfast in its commitment to extend assistance for Nepal’s economic development and political stabilization, with small run-of river projects starting to build in political confidence. India’s support continues to be in accordance with the wishes and priorities of the people and Government of Nepal.
The book attempts to bring out the historical and cultural linkage between the two countries and suggests the future prospects of India Nepal Relations. (Jacket)
