At attempt has also been made to review the existing bibliographic control of these selected periodicals. The study covers (i) An account of the growth and development of Indian historical periodicals from 1780 to 1970, (ii) An objective assessment based on citations data and their analysis and (iii) A survey of the existing bibliographic control of Indian historical periodicals since their use as source of research depends on efficient bibliographic control.
