Indian Tradition, Culture and Reality

Indian culture is unique in character for it is deep rooted in its spiritual, religious, arts, science, moral and ethical knowledge. India is noted for its Unity in Diversity. It has one of the earliest civilizations (Indus Valley Civilization) of the world. Though India has faced many invasions, she has not invaded any country. 

Various papers on different aspects of Indian culture earlier presented by the author in the national and international conferences are organized in the form of this book. It deals with interesting details from Atharva Veda, Sangam Literature, Folk Lore, Traditional games, River, Birds, Bharathi, Festivals, Performing Arts, Education etc. Detailed references are given at the end of every chapter.

Thousands of published material in book form has contributed to highlight various problems of Africa during the last few centuries. Publications include written mostly in English, French and German other European languages and, African languages etc. Such publications deal with topics related to various Historical, Political, Sociological and Economic problems. On the one hand these publications discuss Africa in general and on the other hand deal with specific countries or the regions of Africa. Africa, a great continent, was colonialized by European powers till 20th century and hence literature pertaining to various European languages. It is not only the books, hundreds of academic periodical publications have also contributed to enrichment of literature pertaining to the problems. Some of such periodicals are century old. One such Periodical worth mention is 'African Affairs' published by the Royal African Society, London since 1901. It is a quarterly publication and highly academic in nature. Academics, research scholars fully enrich their knowledge in pursuit of their studies from this publication.
