This work critically examines the linkages between the IKS and contemporary development practices, with the Galo tribe of Arunachal Pradesh in Northeast India as a case study. Essentially, the context explored in the book relates to the status and sustenance of IKS in relation to a market-led development process from a theoretical perspective, drawing on empirical evidence.
