The Main objective of writing this book on the subject "Industrial Electronics" is to present to the student community, a book which should contain comprehensive treatment of the subject matter in simple language. For understanding of the book, the only need for the reader is knowledge of basic electronics.
This book features a large number of tested circuits, examples and illustrations emphasizing the physical concepts rather than mathematical treatment conventionalized to cover the curriculum of the various states. The language used in explaining the various concepts has been very simple compared to other popular encyclopedias.
The book explains phenomena such as control systems, Thyristors and their Applications, rectifier and its types, solid state control of D.C. and A.C. Motors, electronic timers and automatic controllers, electronic control of electrical heating and welding processes, biomedical electronics, basics such as bio-electric potential types of bio-potential electrodes, electrocardiography (ECG), electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), X-Ray, Ultrasonic Generation and Applications, programmable logic controls (PLC) etc.
This book will be very useful to its readers and save a lot of their precious time and energy. It will prove to be a key source of information and factual knowledge to the polytechnic and under graduate students of all the states. We are always grateful for suggestions that might improve our presentation of the material or for additional topics that should be treated, comments concerning this books would be very welcome.
