International Business is a term used to collectively describe all commercial transactions that take place between two or more regions, countries and nations beyond their political boundary. Usually, private companies undertake such transactions for profit; governments undertake them for profit and for political reasons. It refers to all those business activities which involves cross border transactions of goods, services, resources between two or more nations. The international business and trade environment is the backbone of global economy. A trade agreement to buying and selling goods and services internationally gives manufacturers in various countries the opportunity to expand beyond the domestic market. International business trade and investment agreements open markets worldwide while ensuring fair trade to expand economic growth and create jobs. Job creation and sustained economic growth rely on competitive international markets in both foreign investments and exports. (jacket)
