Journal of African History: Cumulative Index, Volume 1 to 56 (1960-2015)

The present publications-'Journal of African History Cumulative Idexes-2 (Vol.1 to Vol.56, 1960-2015) of the African Studies Association of America-is an attempt to enrich the indexing activities on Africa. The aim of compiling this index is to bring to limelight contributions made by scholars from time to time. Scholars normally are either not aware of or do not take pains to scan through the issues of periodicals, resulting thereby half-hearted attempt in pursuit of their knowledge. 

This index is in three Parts, viz. Subject Part, Geographical Part, and Author Part. Articles indexed are grouped in alphabetical sequence, which are alphabetico-classed. Each article bears Author/Authors, Title and Sub-Title, if any, Locus: Name of the Periodical, Volume and No, Period of Publication and the Pages in which it has been published and bears a Serial Number. The Geographical Part indicates the name of the Country, Subject of the article and the Serial Number appearing in the Subject Part. The Author Part lists the name of Author/s and the Serial Number assigned to it in the Subject Part. 

It is sincerely hoped that scholars shall utilise the effort made to enrich their horizon of knowledge.
