"A large amount of discontent is prevailing against the politicians, especially the MPs. The disruption of the parliament for insignificant issues has become a regular practice. In recent sessions of the Indian parliament, we see a deep institutional collapse, which needs to be corrected and protected urgently. The role of media commences here. Is the media using its valuable powers to enhance the democratic system or has it become a victim of sensationalism and over enthusiasm? Majority of the MPs are of the opinion that media is projecting a negative picture of the parliament. The youth of India representing a third of the population, constitute a vibrant and vital human resource. Are the youth interested in the politics of the country? Do they think about the progress or are they interested only in a lucrative career? This book attempts to find honest answers to all these questions." (jacket)
