The objective of the effectiveness of various methods of teaching English as a second language at the B.A. and B.Ed levels are to develop the four basic languages skills in English namely listening, speaking, reading and writing. Language is a power tool of communication. Language helps us to express our views, feelings and thoughts. The first language that initiates the child into the word of sounds and letters is called his mother tongue. The mother tongue is the languages in which the child develops the art of expressing himself verbally.
