This book deals with the technical features of various microprocessors and their interfacing with peripheral devices. The book mainly highlights the features of Intel 8085A microprocessor covering hardware, software, interfacing with peripheral devices and applications. It also includes a comparative study of some other 8-bit and 16-bit microprocessors with special emphasis on programming with Intel 8086. Moreover it embodies the basic architecture, interfacing techniques and programming features of microcontroller Intel 8051. It encompasses all the topics of new syllabi of most of the Universities and Engineering Colleges.

This book is suitable for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degree students of Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical Engineering and Professionals engaged in microprocessor applications. The entire book has been divided into eighteen chapters and three app0endices. All the topics in the book are discussed in a crystal clear self-explanatory manner, which will help the students to grasp the subject on their own and to develop their own programs. The book incorporates 50 sample programs and 7 application programs with detailed Hardware schemes. Exercises have also been included at the end of each chapter.
